Mehmet has held executive roles at national and international companies such as Turkcell, Unilever, Türk Telekom, and Darty throughout his career, which he began in 2006. In his corporate career, he most recently served as Deputy General Manager with the title of E-commerce Director at MediaMarkt. Mehmet sold Garaj Sepeti, which he founded and which includes brands such as Araba.com and Tasit.com, to Mexico’s first unicorn Kavak.com in 2021. Following the acquisition, he assumed the roles of CEO and Vice Chairman of the Board at Carvak, Kavak’s brand in Turkey. Carvak was later acquired by Borusan Otomotiv. Afterward, Mehmet founded Sharks & Partners, specializing in alternative investments, offering solutions such as venture capital funds and investment clubs to investors. He is also the co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the investment technology company XVEST. Mehmet is a graduate of Boğaziçi University with a degree in Computer Engineering.
